Traditional South African Bobotie – A Flavorful Curried Meat Dish
Beschrijving
What is Bobotie?
Bobotie is a flavorful and aromatic South African dish made from spiced minced meat, topped with a creamy egg-and-milk custard. This delicious layer gives the dish its signature taste!
It's a savory-sweet combination, often served with fragrant yellow rice.
I must confess that I personally don’t enjoy the traditional recipe with raisins—warm dishes with raisins are not really my thing.
Luckily, recipes are versatile, and I always leave out the raisins when I make it.
I also love a little kick in my meals, so I often add some chili for extra heat.
Not exactly authentic anymore, but this is the way I enjoy it most!
If you're not a fan of raisins either, feel free to skip them.
